Baidu USA, located in Silicon Valley, is looking for an apollo integration engineer(contractor) to work on the Baidu autonomous driving team. Your primary focus will be providing hardware support to Apollo open-source project. You will be working with experienced hardware and software engineers from different disciplines. You will be responsible for sensor evaluation and qualification, sensor integration and troubleshooting on the autonomous driving vehicles.

Here's what you will do:

  • Work with hardware engineers from multiple disciplines to support Apollo opensource project

  • Run hardware tests to evaluate the performance hardware devices

  • Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings

  • Interfacing and maintain good relationship with hardware vendors and Apollo partners

  • Provide administrative support as needed

Here's what we'd like to see in you:

  • BA/BS degree or above. Strongly prefer candidates with hardware trouble shooting experience/capability

  • Knowledge and working experience on sensors are preferred, including LiDAR, Camera, Radar, ultrasonic and/or GNSS sensors

  • Experience around cars in general is preferred.

  • Proficient in data analysis using programing or scripting languages

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Exceptional verbal and written communications and problem-solving skills

  • Weight-lifting of 40 lb is needed in some rare occasions

VIEW JOBS 12/6/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-06T00:00 Senior PIC Product Integration Engineer The Photonic Integration Circuit (PIC) group develops and manufactures chips that are the heart of Infinera's terabit-scale digital optical transport networks. The PIC Product Integration Team is looking for a motivated individual and a good team player to fill the role of a Product Integration Engineer. The team is responsible for quality and reliability of existing PIC products as well as for transitioning new photonic chip designs into manufacturing. In the position of Product Integration Engineer you are expected to support PIC products through data analysis and device physics understanding. You will be responsible for quality and reliability as well as improvements in yield and manufacturability of PIC products using your skills and knowledge of statistical data analysis, semiconductor device physics, photonics, semiconductor processing, testing. You will be working with different functional teams to troubleshoot and improve processes. You will contribute to a variety of activities including test data analysis, failure analysis, yield improvement, qualification programs and reliability surveillance. Your Key Responsibilities Would Include: * Performance, quality and reliability of PIC products. * Analysis of PIC performance data within manufacturing line and in PIC test/characterization based on knowledge of optoelectronic tests and test methods, semiconductor device physics, semiconductor fabrication processes and reliability surveillance data. * Support next-generation PIC platform development and participate in technology development, transfer, and ramp activities to meet yield, reliability, cost, and device performance goals. * Identify opportunities for improvement in PIC performance and manufacturing yield * Initiate and lead projects to deliver improved PIC capability and lower PIC cost. These projects may involve optoelectronic device design & integration on InP, or improvements to manufacturing processes including in-line metrology. Education & Experience Necessary For Success: * MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or other related engineering field with minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in optoelectronics or a related industry * In-depth understanding of semiconductor processes, device physics and photonics. * Experience with III-V process technologies required for fabrication, characterization and testing of optoelectronic devices and circuits. * Knowledge of statistical analysis and DOE principles. * Hands-on experience with semiconductor processing, electrical and optical test equipment, metrology and photonic device characterization. * Knowledge of failure analysis techniques related to semiconductors and familiarity with failure modes in III-V semiconductor components. * Excellent communications skills are required for close interaction with a diverse engineering team including experts in epitaxy, fab engineering, test, reliability, product engineering, and development. * Experience with product engineering desired, including NPI, product specifications, quality assurance. * Experience with database SQL queries desired. * Experience with Matlab, VBA, JMP or other similar software packages desired. * Strong problem solving and root cause identification skills, and ability to organize data and keep track of a multitude of simultaneous projects and deadlines.
