What you will do:

Work in collaboration with a team of engineers to design and develop robust solutions that meet defined system requirements.

How you will do it:

Responsible for the investigation, development and implementation of non-standard software solutions, protocol integration and database integration projects while exercising considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments. Provide pre-sales technical support of department solutions and capabilities.

Teams effectively with integration department as well as internal and external customers. Investigation of effective and competitive solutions along with proposal development outlining chosen solutions, responsibilities, and costs involved. Manages and schedules all aspects of assigned workload.

Prioritizes work to meet the goals of the customer along with department goals. Provide cost and time frame estimates for evaluation. Collaborates with the department to maintain a high level of engineering standards ensuring maximum reuse of designs and programs.

Works with field installation teams to insure timely delivery of developed solutions in order to maximize successful execute. Schedule and perform project implementations of developed solutions. Available for travel as needed (anticipated around 50%). Development of accurate and concise documentation with the objective to have complete information on file and in the customers' hands that fully explains the solution, how it works, how it's used and allows for reconstruction of the developed solution in the event of a system failure. Perform other related duties and projects as assigned and other duties listed in quarterly and annual goal setting.

What we look for:

Required

  • BS/MS degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Software Application Engineering and Project Management, including development, testing, deployment, fault diagnostics and maintenance of applications.

  • Possesses strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Must be able to demonstrate direct experience with software development platforms such as MS Visual Studio, C++, C#, HTML5, JAVA,

  • Website development Web tools development, SQL Server and GitHub

Preferred

  • Prior integration experience with Building Automation Systems as well as communications protocols such as Modbus, SNMP and BACnet.

Job Description: Job Summary * Physically install Category 3, Category 5, Category 5e, Category 6, Category 6e, Category 6A, Category 7, Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems, and Access Control system cabling. This cabling may support workstations, servers, nurse call, etc. * Installation of outlets, pulling cable, fire stopping and pre-termination including organizing, forming, dressing and labeling cables to industry standards * Mechanical and fusion fiber termination and splicing. * Installation of cable tray, and other cable pathways. * Accurately test and save copper and fiber (multimode and single mode) cables to required certification parameters utilizing appropriate test equipment as required * Diagnose and correct copper and optical fiber problems * Removal and demolition of abandoned cables as needed. * Maintain and reference industry standards including ANSI, EIA/TIA, and local and National Electric Code * Perform site surveys, read and use blueprints and floor plan and conduct visual site inspections * Determine closet and equipment layouts and install closet hardware including backboards, install closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels and fiber enclosures * Integrate diverse systems, networks, and servers to support various tasks and projects. * Troubleshoot and debug system issues to increase performance and quality of data. * Document and create visual representations of systems and their inputs and outputs. * Installation of wireless access point with other ancillary hardware * Assist with wireless RF mapping as needed. * Design and administration of multi-vendor access control system. * Design and administration of multi-vendor IP and analog CCTV systems, including server administration as required. * Implementation of technologies such as VGA over Ethernet, etc. * Demonstrates genuine concern and support for others. * Promotes corporate integrity through compliance with the BHS Corporate Compliance Program * The position requires a wide breadth of skills and aptitudes. The most important dimensions are: * Possess a high level of independent judgment within established procedures * Basic knowledge of analog, digital and IP telephony systems * Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience * Minimum BICSI Technician certification or equivalent certification * Demonstrate basic knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies, cabling standards and components * Ability to work non-standard business hours as needed * Ability to be scheduled for on-call status if needed * Must adhere to OSHA Safety standards * Panduit Certification a plus * Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable with our auto insurance carrier during course of employment * * Desired Additional Skills Include: * Experience working in healthcare environment.
