Job Description:

Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for an Integration Associate to join our Product Management team. In this role, you will build integrations between our products and our carrier partners' systems. Coordinating with the Integration Lead responsible for managing our carrier partners' integration projects, you will define how the data in our rating product is mapped to external systems and configure these data mappings using our proprietary systems and tools. Your delivery of high-quality integrations will facilitate the quoting of insurance in an efficient manner, providing accurate quotes from multiple carriers to help the independent agencies who use our applications win more business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform testing and quality assurance reviews of your work throughout the integration process, to ensure our reputation for quality is upheld

  • Actively collaborate with other team members, using various communication tools to engage with both onsite and remote employees

  • Maintain timely summaries of work performed for carrier integrations so that all Applied Rater team members have easy access to the current status of each integration

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS JOB

  • Associate's degree in technology/related field; or equivalent work experience

  • Strong technical acumen/abilities

  • Eagerness to develop skills with technical toolkits; experience or training in SQL, XML, or JavaScript a plus

  • Excellent problem solving skills; strong logical reasoning and solution oriented

  • Ability to plan and organize technical projects and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment

  • Multi-tasking capabilities and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in the insurance industry a plus

VIEW JOBS 10/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-13T00:00 The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (http://engineering.unl.edu/ece) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of automation and systems integration. The UNL College of Engineering is undergoing an exciting period of significant growth with two major building projects underway. A major focus of the college’s teaching, research and outreach enterprise in the coming decade is on developing industrial automation in manufacturing science and engineering, including the automated manufacture of equipment, devices and components, and integration of these in systems. Consequently, the College is seeking to hire a multidisciplinary group of faculty that have complementary expertise in all aspects of manufacturing. Specific areas of expertise include power electronics systems, heterogeneous sensor network integration and data acquisition, sensor data fusion and representation, decision theory, automation, advanced control systems, robotics, and systems integration. The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering consists of approximately 35 tenure/tenure-track faculty, 400 undergraduate students, and 120 graduate students co-located in two cities, Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska. An outstanding infrastructure exists for conducting research, including several power electronics and industrial control test beds, an Opal-RT Simulator, microgrid, other industrial systems platforms, and the Holland Computing Center (hcc@unl.edu). Opportunities for collaborations across the University of Nebraska include the University of Nebraska Medical Center, the Nebraska Center for Energy Sciences Research, the Nebraska Center for Materials and Nanoscience, the Nebraska Engineering Additive Technologies (NEAT) lab (https://engineering.unl.edu/NEAT/) which houses multiple metal additive manufacturing and bioprinting capabilities, and other state- and federally-funded research centers and programs.
