The Integrations and Data Engineer reports to the Integrations and Data Engineering lead. The primaries duties for this role are to plan, manage, and execute on projects to create new data integrations or data services in support of the USNH ERP environment (Workday), reporting and analytics needs. This individual will be required to build and maintain relationships with the business community across the University System of New Hampshire and keep current on emerging markets, industry trends, vendor roadmaps and activities, including those outside of but related to the portfolio.

• Bachelor's degree and six years of experience in information technology field, Master's and four years, or combination of education and experience equal to ten years.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with project management tools and methodologies such as Microsoft Project and PMBOK.

• PMI certification a plus.

• Experience with process improvement and technology management practices such as ITIL and Six Sigma.

Design and Build

• Designing, building and testing scalable ETL data interfaces across several API formats (REST/SOAP/webservice etc.) in support of continued increases in data volume and complexity.

• Collaborates with analytics, user experience and functional teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization and within a distributed cloud/hybrid environment.

• Creating and maintaining technical documentation including but not limited to mapping and transformation documents.

• Leads and/or participates in peer review for solutions designed or developed by other team members to ensure products going out the door uphold our standards and best practices.

• Stays abreast of emerging and evolving technologies, languages, standards and practices; maintaining our own internal documentation.

• Maintains and applies an advanced application development and integration skill set; acquiring new technical skills quickly as appropriate.

• Makes recommendations to most efficiently and securely respond to evolving, strategic business needs and technical challenges.

Duty/Responsibility

Analysis and Project Management

• Collaborating with business and technical partners, leads the analysis of complex business, functional and technical needs and challenges.

• Provides time and resource estimates and cost/benefit analyses for decision-making.

• Manages small IT projects of high technical and/or organizational complexity.

• Provides input for the project team during in project initiation, planning and execution, through the creation of project estimates, technical inputs and timeline evaluations.

• Maintains our project management systems of record tracking project status, milestones/tasks and time tracking for overall project performance as necessary within Team Dynamics to ensure accurate metrics for ET&S Management.

Duty/Responsibility

Operational and Customer Support

• Provides technical support to Functional IT leaders, technical business partners, and end-users through incident management and integration monitoring.

• Engages vendors as required and ensures all communications are appropriate for the target audience.
