Job Description Job Title: Integrated Trades
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining irrigation systems; providing information and documentation of activities; and ensuring adequate materials are available for timely completion of job functions.

Time 1. Inspects irrigation systems to identify, repair, and/or replace irrigation components and maintaining schedules. Repairs all components of an irrigation system (e.g. timers, clocks, sprinklers, control valves, pipes, wiring systems, etc.) to keep it operating according to its design. W 20% 2. Installs, repairs, maintains and tests back flow valves as per city code. A 15% 3. Installs, repairs, maintains flow meters, master valves, etc. to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective systems. W 10% 4. Operates heavy equipment (e.g. tractor, bobcat, skid loader, dump truck, trenchers, etc.) to install and maintain irrigation systems. M 5% 5. Performs a variety of landscaping activities (e.g. mowing, fertilizing, planting, spraying weeds, etc.) to maintain school grounds. M 5% 6. Maintains supplies, equipment, and tools for the purpose of ensuring adequate materials are available to complete assignments in an efficient and timely manner M 5% 7. Programs controllers thru Centralize Irrigation System to adapt to changing weather conditions. D 20% 8. Removes snow to ensure parking lots and sidewalks are safe for vehicles, staff, students, and other personnel. M 5% 9. Coordinates with administration and athletic coaches to adjust irrigation programs for a variety of school events. M 5% 10. Assesses problems and/or failures in irrigation systems to identify, repair, and/or replacement irrigation components. W 5% 11. Performs other duties as assigned Ongoing 5% TOTAL = 100%
EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma, or equivalent, required
No experience required, but experience in grounds keeping or irrigation, preferred
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:
Criminal background check required for hire
Valid state issued Driver's License, required
Must obtain and maintain Defensive Driving certificate by the conclusion of the district-provided training course
Backflow License, required within 1 year of hire

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE:
Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals
Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copier, fax machine, etc.
Operating knowledge of district information technology systems and department-specific software and equipment required within 3 months after entering position
Operational knowledge of all powered equipment used to perform job functions, such as heavy equipment, welders, grounds keeping equipment, surveying equipment, etc. preferred at hire, but never required
