LOCATION: Birmingham, AL or Atlanta, GA

Job Description Summary:

The Integrated Solutions Clinical Architect is responsible for defining and delivering solutions to support the integration of BD MedMined data and analytics into BD clinical value offers. The role will work closely with key marketing stakeholders and product development to ensure the deliverables support and sustain the strategic imperatives of the business unit. The developed solutions will be utilized by various hospital stakeholders as well as BD clinical resources. The clear and actionable visualization of data analytics and key performance indicators are a critical aspect of this role. The successful candidate will leverage the BD Commercial Excellence process and utilize BD marketing and development resources across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills as well as data visualization technology to translate high-level customer needs into detailed action items for software development and commercialization.

  • Collaborate with other business units and resources to execute on solutions that support business and industry needs related to Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs).

  • Create user stories to support software planning and reviews, solution roadmap and incremental delivery.

  • Collaborate with end users, user experience design, marketing, software development, and internal stakeholders.

  • Create detailed use cases for technical teams to develop a robust solution.

  • Analyze requirements to determine priority and business value and clearly communicate rationale and justification between business and technical stakeholders.

  • Participate in interviews, site visits and facilitated sessions with business users to ensure product and key performance indicators aligns with the needs of internal and external clients.

  • Creates and manages relationships with clinical end users and internal stakeholders to ensure the deliverable meets their respective needs.

  • Works with project management to ensure alignment with metrics needed for successful product launches, end user adoption and quality compliance; provide Project Manager with status updates, activity progress and schedule updates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Data visualization experience using business intelligence tools

  • Work experience in a clinical healthcare setting and/or software product management. Prefer strong understanding of infection prevention or nursing workflow and basic project management.

  • Demonstrated capacity to develop and communicate data visualization solutions.

  • Ability to effectively collaborate and influence across multiple cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to align solution ideation with market needs and then execute on commercialization.

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Solutions include systems (including applications, technologies, processes and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services. Enterprise Solutions Architects provide the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to the development of an enterprise's solutions architecture. This individual creates deliverables that help develop a direction for managing the organization's portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions — including systems (meaning not just applications, but also processes and information), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components to better match targeted business outcome objectives. Enterprise Solutions Architects leverage and use technology solutions to enable the organization's future-state business capabilities that, in turn, drive the organization's targeted outcomes. They facilitate and orchestrate the delivery of targeted business outcomes. Primary Job Functions: IT Solution Analysis: * Understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state), and determine corresponding enterprise system impacts and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes. * Manage and lead the development of the architecture for a broader scope of projects, working closely with application architects that manage and design architecture for a single project or initiative * Consult with application and infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture, and identify when it is necessary to modify projects to accommodate the solutions architecture * Participate in the identification of the impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures or culture) of the solutions * Document solution architecture design and analysis work * Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution and explore solution alternatives * Define subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions with solution context Solution Planning and Delivery: * Lead the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities and business requirements * Work closely with the program management office (PMO) or project management office to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised.May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives * Enable the business to meet objectives through IT delivery using appropriate design guidelines and investment advocacy * Participate in Program and Project Planning activities, discovery and solutions demonstrations based on teams's software development framework.
