This role is to support the Project Management community with analytics and reporting initiatives, with a focus on project management, resource demand, allocation, and capacity. This role will provide YOU with the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:
Work with customers and R&D Tech to gather and validate reporting and analytics requirements.
Work with R&D Tech to design, develop, and deploy Spotfire dashboards and analytics reports for teams, functional lines, governance and senior leaders.
Apply analytics and business acumen to diagnose planning and resource issues, and data issues, and generate insights and recommendations to demonstrably influence business decisions and outcomes
Leverage modern data visualization and analytics technologies to create dynamic business dashboards to effectively communicate and bring key insights to life for customers.
Recommends quality metrics and ensures quality metrics are documented and tracked.
Query data from database systems to provide ad-hoc project and resourcing analyses, insights, and recommendations (cycle time analyses, attrition analyses, etc.) for various customers.
Promote the use of high-quality data and support a culture of fact-based decision-making in SPO, PPRM, IRM, and Functional Lines by building capabilities and provide guidance and training to the community in visualization and analytics tool usage.
Design, develop, and deliver end-user IRM training and training material.
Stay abreast of Business Intelligence products and tools as well as business strategies and direction. Identify and bring forward new reporting and analytics technologies and opportunities that will positively impact R&D operations from a business perspective.
Advises senior leaders and key stakeholders on how data and analytics play a critical role in business management and optimization.
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Bachelor's or master's degree in business or scientific discipline with a strong background in data science.
At least 6 years of Business Analytics or related analytics experience.
Proficiency in SQL and Spotfire.
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Understanding of the drug discovery process.
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
Ability to learn new tools and methods independently.
Direct experience in performing analytics and data visualizations on project management data and communicate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of Spotfire, R, Python, and Microsoft Azure.
High levels of intellectual curiosity and the mental agility to quickly understand new business problems and concepts.
Ability to lead the development of new solutions to meet requirements and when appropriate, suggest new approaches to problem solving and make data-driven business recommendations.
Experience in partnering with R&D Tech in delivering software or analytics solutions.
