Supportability engineering specialist with detailed understanding of long term support principles to develop and recommend support/sustainment solutions for major airborne and ground based weapons systems.

Required Skills:

  • Logistics Support Analysis development and documentation skills (LMI, MIL-PRF-49506, MIL-HDBK-502, GEIA-STD-0007, DEF-STAN-00-60,MIL-STD-1388-2A/B)

  • Technical Publications development and management

  • Responsible for planning, scheduling and implementing logistics support analysis, sparing analysis, training programs, life cycle cost/level of repair analyses, provisioning and SERDS.

  • Spares analysis using system reliability/maintainability data as related to the maintenance concept;

  • Life Cycle Cost and Total Ownership Cost focused on operations and support cost estimating;

  • Training development and management;

  • Ability to translate system requirements into functional requirements;

  • Technical proposal writing skills;

  • Earned Value Management.

  • Moderate travel will be required in fulfillment of program responsibilities.

Desired Skills:

  • Reliability and maintainability modeling skills;

  • FMECA experience;

  • Logistics/Supportability demonstration experience;

  • Modeling and simulation experience.

Bachelors degree with a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience.

Candidate must be able to obtain/maintain a DOD Secret clearance . Must be able to pass additional security background checks as required.

The Network Systems Engineer is expected to: * Design and develop physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains * Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements * Perform requirement traceability methods and purpose * Perform systems engineering trade studies * Evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness * Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements * Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designs * Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements * Develop and execute network test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements * Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical network information to non-technical professionals * Lead a team, with multiple disciplines of engineering, to design a cohesive accreditable multiple security domain network and integrate the resulting design in a MILSTD based development environment A Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Systems, Telecommunications, etc.) and a minimum of 7 years of applicable experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strongly prefer: * Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification * Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification * Expert networking experience including IP addressing, switching and routing, video teleconferencing, VoIP telephony, and WANs * Expert in routing protocols including RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP * Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process and implementation of systems that achieved an Authorization to Operate (ATO) on government networks * Configuration and integration of routers, switches, and video teleconferencing equipment * Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills * Experience working with subcontractors and US Government customers * Experience developing, authoring, and implementing software and system test plans in a team environment * Experience working successfully both independently and in a team environment with the ability to lead small test teams through an entire build cycle * Hands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying software and/or hardware Position requires an active Secret or higher DoD Security Clearance within 5 years of most recent investigation.
