ORGANIZATION: Integrated Energy and Market Analysis
WORK LOCATION: Idaho Falls, ID (In Town, 9x80 Schedule)
Idaho National Lab will change the world's advanced nuclear technology future! Join us - innovate the future!
The Integrated Energy and Market Analysis department at INL is organized to identify and relate various elements of nuclear technologies and power generation systems in a broadly integrated fashion- achieved by application of expertise in nuclear systems integration, enabling demonstration of nuclear technologies in the context of real-world complexities, and envisioning actions for the productive and balanced use of clean energy solutions while augmenting critical infrastructure.
Integrated Energy systems refers to the coupling of the energy producing system to the distribution and utilization systems. An example would be coupling a nuclear reactor to energy storage systems or chemical production plants and integrating multiple different power sources on the same grid. Market analysis plays an important role in assessing these integrated systems and the utility they bring to coupling them with existing and advanced energy production systems.
We are seeking an exceptional individual to fill our Integrated Energy Systems and Market Analysis Department Manager position.
This individual will guide a group of technical professionals to solve complex problems and related issues and will be responsible to provide leadership for a growing group of technical professionals and direct the development of tools to integrate reactor designs with optimized distribution and utilization.
Technical areas of focus requiring oversight or contribution relate to existing or anticipated program needs of DOE and other customers.
Working with relationship managers, program managers, the division director, and others, the Department Manager identifies and perpetuates potential new programs at technology interfaces for nuclear systems.
