Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as the Integrated Education and Training (IET) Coordinator. The selected candidate will be instrumental in devising, implementing and supervising the Integrated Education and Training (IET) component, aimed at providing adult learners with workforce skills preparation. This role requires coordination with education institutions, training providers and workforce agencies.
Please note the following information regarding this position:
a) May be assigned to work at any location on or off campus within our service delivery area. (Muscogee County, Stewart County, Quitman County, Chattahoochee County, Harris County, and Talbot County)
b) May require travel.
Job Duties:
Serve as a liaison between the adult education program, postsecondary education, Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs), community service agencies, and local business/industry to provide integrated education and training (IET) services and classes. In collaboration with instructional staff, the individual will track and report student's progress for academic success, to include creating and setting up quarterly IET offerings.
Responsibilities:
Recruit for IET Training Programs
Provide updates to AE and college personnel to ensure they have full understanding of the IET opportunities to students
Work to ensure community awareness by distributing flyers and promotional information
Promote IET to community leaders and potential students through presentations, meetings, and one-on-one sessions
Support active IET students and coordinate needed services/support
Monitor student performance in high school classes, postsecondary courses, and progress for those completing the IET training
Conduct regular student check-ins with students
Check in with postsecondary instructors and high school course instructors to ensure students are on track
Work with the Career Services Specialist to ensure students receive digital literacy training, soft skills and employment focused training
Monitor and Report IET Data
Ensure all new students are entered into Banner and GALIS
Proficient in verbal, written, interpersonal, computer, and organizational skills
Other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in business, workforce development, education, or a closely related field from a college or university.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with WIOA, Adult Education and experience coordinating industry or business training.
Salary/Benefits:
Salary is $43,900. Benefits include state holidays, annual leave, and sick leave, State of Georgia Retirement, Health and Flexible Benefits Program.
