Summary: The Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Program Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience and operational efficiency within the Integrated Behavioral Health department. Coordinating support across six provider locations, managing provider schedules, patient appointments, and referrals. The coordinator also develops reports to enhance service quality, maintains effective communication with providers and teams, and supports workflow standardization and staff training.

Principal Responsibilities:

1.Will participate and maintain a culture within The Corvallis Clinic consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards document. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained within.

2.Coordinates operational support across six (6) distinct IBH provider locations, ensuring standardized procedures.

3.Schedules new patient appointments, pre-registration, verify mental health benefits, authorization requirement, follow-up if needed, etc.

4.Processes new patient referrals, consent forms, policy forms, intake evaluations, record releases, co-pays/payments for services, medical record requests, claims, patient cases, chart prep.

5.Manages and tracks IBH referral process. Provide patient with IBH resources as necessary. Collaborates with external entities to compile mental/behavioral health resources and facilitate patient follow-up to promote connection and engagement.

6.Develops and maintains reports and metrics to inform PEER reviews, annual assessments, and departmental feedback, enhancing the effectiveness of integrated behavioral health services.

7.Maintains effective communication with IBH Providers and referring provider teams to ensure the coordination and standard of excellence in patient care. Ability to confidentially, and appropriately, communicate with patients and Providers on sensitive subject matter.

8.Establishes and supports workflows, onboarding, and orientation for IBH providers within primary care practices.

9.Manages IBH Provider schedules to ensure timeliness and efficiency is achieved. Facilitates tele-health visits, ensuring patients have link, and are successful in connecting to their appointment.



  1. Answers and returns patient phone calls in a timely manner and provide accurate documentation of phone calls.

  2. Collaborates with the IBH Chair to develop and maintain an effective integrated behavioral health service model, emphasizing population-focused service delivery.

  3. Performs general office tasks (copies, distribution of mail, etc.), ordering of department supplies, etc.

  4. Provide expertise in operations and logistics, including training and coverage for Medical Office Specialists (MOS) to maintain IBH provider schedules. Trains incoming department MOS/Referral staff.

  5. Provides backup coverage and support for MOS staff as needed.

  6. Serves as an example and resource for IBH staff and model the Clinic's standard of Behavior.

  7. Works with Operations supervisor/manager on special projects, performance concerns, policy updates, as needed.


Education, Licensure and Experience:

1.High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2.Minimum two (2)-years' experience in a medical office setting required.

3.Pursuit or completion of higher education in medical or social sciences preferred.

4.Minimum (1) -year experience in a behavioral health clinic setting preferred.
