Intake Supervisor

Responsibilities

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. We offer partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for co-occurring symptoms.

The Intake Supervisor will focus on helping admissions staff with smooth orderly processes for intake calls, referrals and admissions for the hospital. This position will also interact with patients, families, physicians, referral sources and other internal departments and be responsible for various intake reports. Additionally, the position will provide supervision and oversight for other clinicians, nursing and support positions within the department including hiring, training new employees, performance appraisals and addressing and resolving issues.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Education: Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field or graduate of accredited School of Nursing or baccalaureate program required

Licensure: Licensure by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Examiners as an LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT, LMFT or licensure as a Registered Nurse through the State of Arizona

Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field. Prior management and admissions experience preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITON:

Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x-ray every 4 years thereafter.

Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance
