Cedar Hills is looking for an Intake Supervisor to join our team!

How you will make an impact:

The Intake Supervisor oversees the assessment, referral, and admission activities during the assigned shift. They assigns responsibilities to assure prompt response to patient needs, reviews/maintains all documents, departmental logs, and assigns physicians to admitted patients. The Intake Supervisor performs ARC Counselor responsibilities by providing, telephonic and in person risk assessments, crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients. This position also coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff. The Intake Supervisor will supervise assessment staff, including daily schedule assignment; call management, orientation and report staffing needs to the Director of Intake.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree, MSW or related field, or Bachelors in Nursing and experience in Behavioral Health.

  • Experience: 1 year intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention and Referral experience required; preferably in an inpatient setting.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Licensure: LCSW/LPC/MSW or related degree OR Current OR Nursing License

  • A working knowledge of the DSM-IV and the Mental Status Exam preferred.

  • Experience in the Addiction and Recovery field preferred.

  • Intermediate level Microsoft, Excel and ability to learn and use MS4 and MIDAS

  • Successful completion of Crisis Management and Service Excellence training must occur within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures.

  • May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
