Job Description

Mission

  • We are currently working under a temporary remote setting. Must be able to work Onsite. Must reside within a commutable distance from the office Hub.

Shift Details: 11:00AM - 8:00PM Monday

  • Friday

Office hours: 8:00AM - 8:00PM. Must be flexible with schedule to work earlier or later.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review contents of referral to ensure complete and accurate information has been received

  • Create a patient profile from a scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information to ensure all other groups can successfully serve the patient

  • Conduct initial check of prescription to ensure clinical accuracy for processing

  • Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns so that all information is collected and accurate before it reaches other teams for furthering processing

  • Updating concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow are able to quickly assess the status of the referral

  • Enter new provider information (i.e., National Provider Identifier) accurately into the system so that the Business Intelligence group can complete their reporting

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Current CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification required

  • 2+years pharmacy experience

  • 1+ years of prior experience working in a Pharmacy setting required

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

Critical Requirements:

  • Current CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification required

  • Effective communicator

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Competent in basic computer skills

  • Multi-task oriented

  • Ability to effectively work with people

  • Conscientious and detail oriented

  • Flexible and adaptable

Preferred Requirements:

  • 1+ years Healthcare experience preferred

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED

Summary: The Certified Technician provides support to the pharmacist by reviewing, compounding and dispensing medications. All work is carried out under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. Responsibilities: 1. Compounds and/or prepares medications (sterile products, oral, topical, controlled substances, etc.) including high-risk medication processes as defined by the entity, as authorized by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. 2. Delivers exchanges medications to the respective patient area and returns unused medications to the pharmacy. 3. Documents pharmaceutical activities including patient billing for medications and equipment, quality control requirements, etc. using automated and paper systems, while ensuring accuracy of data. 4. Responds to and triages requests from customers for assistance with pharmacy services such as medication delivery, drug information, etc. 5. Operates and supports automated dispensing technology to supply correct medications for individual patients, according to pharmacist and physician orders. 6. Orders, receives, restocks, and rotates inventory, and completes expiration date management. 7. Assists with training of new employees, educating them in job-specific functions. 8. Contributes to process improvement projects. 9. Completes regulatory compliance inspection of medication storage areas, including inspections and/or controlled substance inventories, USP797 and other regulatory documentation as required. Other Information Education Requirements: ● High school diploma or GED. Completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program preferred. Licensure/Certification Requirements: ● Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy unless enrolled in a PharmD program.·CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA unless enrolled in a PharmD program. Professional Experience Requirements: ● Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
