Responsible for complete and accurate patient registration and scheduling and follow-up activities related to scheduling accuracy.
Collaborates with team members, clinic and other support staff to most efficiently handle the patients needs and provide first call resolution to the callers.
Listens to the patients needs and works with them to find appropriate solution(s) to ensure that the patients experience is exceeded.
Provides superior customer service by effectively communicating with a diverse age and ethnic population in an audible, friendly, professional, and well-mannered speaking voice.
Critical thinking skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment are essential attributes.
Utilizes scheduling protocols as a resource to come to well-reasoned conclusions and solutions for callers.
Ability to problem solve and know when to raise vital questions and problems to Team Lead or Call Center Management.
Is required to learn medical and clinical terms, utilize management systems and must be able to schedule efficiently online while speaking with callers.
Maintains strict patient confidentiality.
Acts as a liaison between the Call Center and the assigned clinic management staff.
Expected to become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the assigned team and clinical groupings.
May work with Sr. Intake Representative and Team Lead to assist with new employee support and other quality initiatives.
2 plus years of customer service in health care or a professional service industry.
Proven ability to listen effectively and to maintain strict patient/customer confidentiality.
Ability to type on keyboard and utilize various computer screens while conversing with patient/customer.
Ability to learn new computer systems and workflow processes.
Ability to multi-task on an ongoing basis.
2 years scheduling complex patient appointments and registering patient information in a practice management system.
Two years of post high school education or related healthcare specialty or office management education/ training.
Post secondary education in healthcare or business related area preferred.
