Role Overview:
Insyt Engineer
The primary responsibility of the IMI Insyt Engineer is to execute IMI Insyt studies. These studies use customer data to identify, define and ultimately solve customer problems.
The Insyt Engineer will require an in-depth knowledge of IMI CCI products and applications, be familiar with competitor's products, and have up-to-date knowledge of the industry.
The Insyt Lead Engineer will leverage this knowledge and support the growth of IMI Insyt through the execution of studies and the recommendation of corrective actions and hardware modifications that solve customer issues.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (office/cubicle environment with computers, fax machines and printers operating) to loud (manufacturing environment with large machinery operating.)

Review and interpret P&ID & piping layouts
Select and define customer sensors required for the execution of an Insyt study, i.e. flow meters, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, etc.
Clearly communicate the critical findings and recommendations of the IMI Insyt study to the customer via formal report writing and virtual or in-person technical presentations
Clearly define any IMI hardware or service quotations that result from the IMI Insyt study and hand these over to the proper sales channels
Communicate with internal stakeholders such as sales and engineering during the pre-bid and execution phase of the study to be sure customer issues are properly addressed
Find process improvements through automation or outsourcing that can better and more efficiently communicate our results to the customer
Be active in industry conferences and publications, staying up to date on industry trends that affect customer operations and performance
Creatively find new or different ways to use customer data to identify problems
What We Are Looking For
B.A./B.S. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field
5+ years in engineering, or technical sales role focused on solving customer problems preferred
Familiar with valve applications and plant designs
Able to read P&ID and piping isometrics
Have worked with customers on problem solving and training
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Have presented to customers or at industry conferences
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Excellent teamwork skills
Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time

Salary range: $75,000 annual - $120,000 annual, depending on experience.
