The Radiation Oncology facility is a brand new building and practice located within the Abramson Cancer Center at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
The facility will be combined with the clinical offices of hematology/oncology and infusion providing patients one centralized location for all of their cancer care.
Employees of this facility will join a brand new team of clinicians and support staff and work together to build a robust service to treat both inpatients and outpatients who need radiation therapy.
The establishment of this new service offers a unique opportunity to start at the ground level of a premier department and service at Penn Medicine.
Employees will be expected to work together with the support of department and hospital leadership to deliver outstanding quality cancer care to our patients.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate flexibility, maturity and a positive attitude necessary to work in a start-up location.
The Radiation Oncology department at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Penn Medicine Radnor Campus is seeking an Insurance Verification Representative.
This position will be a shared position with the new Radnor facility that will be opening in the estimated June 2020 time frame.
The primary responsibilities of this role are to obtain Radiation Oncology authorizations/pre-authorizations as this includes urgent authorizations.
This will allow continued maximum reimbursement and low to no denials.
The Insurance Verification Representative will serve as the SME for the shared services staff with any Radiation Oncology specific scheduling or insurance specific questions.
This role will be responsible for remotely attending Schedistration meetings to remain updated on Schedistration and/or Epic processes and procedures.
The Insurance Verification Representative that will rotate between PPMC and Radnor will continue to provide and maintain a patient/customer focus,
supports the delivery of high quality care, shares a passion for patient and customer centered care, and assists in meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction and financial/operational targets.
