SequelCare is currently seeking a full-time Insurance Utilization Coordinator to join our team at our Pinellas Park location.

Job Responsibilities

The Utilization Coordinator is responsible for obtaining authorizations for services in a timely manner and ensuring that all documentation complies with all state and federal statutes as well as SequelCare of Florida's policies and procedures

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Obtains, enters, and reviews all incoming authorizations and authorizations requests

  • Ensures documentation complies with all state and federal statutes as well as company guidelines

  • Ensures Medik is consistently updated with authorizations

  • Collaborates with internal and external parties regarding authorizations and provides guidance to staff and managers on authorization items

  • Works with staff to resolve deficiencies in a timely manner

  • Assists in the process of eligibilities on a monthly basis

  • Research code issues and authorization changes and/or updates

  • Scrub charges that end up in dirty charges

  • Ensures that SequelCare of Florida utilizes best practices and maintains compliance with the utilization process
