Were looking to hire a full-time Insurance Sales Account Executive/Agent to work in our Amherst County Office. This new position will service existing accounts while growing new business in the surrounding area.

Our Sales Account Executives start with an existing book of business, a base salary and the potential for additional income from a variety of sources:

  • Initial Sales Commissions

  • Renewals of Insurance Lines

  • Financial Product Renewals

  • Monetary cash bonus and incentive trips

Unlike other insurance agencies, Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance provides licensed support staff to assist the Sales Account Executive and convenient office locations.

First year Sales Account Executives can earn on average $50,000 - $80,000.

Seasoned Account Executives agents can earn over 100K+.

The Appomattox Residency is seeking to fill multiple emergency positions in Amherst County to work during 24 hour emergency operations only (12 hour shifts). Positions available for "on-call" seasonal work during winter weather and snow operations. During inclement weather, will operate and maintain highway equipment, such as dump trucks, front end loaders, and tractors; clear snow and ice from roadways; apply abrasives and chemicals on road surfaces and perform heavy manual labor. Must have the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Valid Commercial Driver's License required. Preferred Qualifications Experience performing snow removal operations. Special Requirements Will be required to work outside normal business hours in emergencies, inclement weather and hazardous traffic conditions. Safety shoes required. Selected applicant must complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment.
