Insurance Partner- Business Development

As an Insurance Partner- Business Development you will be responsible for growing our Insurance Channel focused on scales partners including national and regional carriers, digital direct agencies, insurance platforms and others. This person will contribute to the channel strategy while also being the central "hunter" to expand sales activity across the Insurance Channel. This person's focus will be on solution selling from Cinch's industry-leading suite of solutions and emerging channel-specific offerings.

We are looking for a professional who has extensive knowledge and experience working with multiple carriers and Insurance scaled partners to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience selling to and through the insurance industry or will have a broad knowledge of the Insurance Industry coupled with enterprise B2B sales experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, Prospect and build a sustainable pipeline of Carriers, Digital Direct Agencies, and Scaled Insurance PartnersIn conjunction with account management and Insurance channel leadership, identify strategic opportunities to expand our offerings in the channel.

  • Monitor and analyze the market, competitors, trends, and benchmarks in the industry to identify business opportunities and potential threats.

  • Contribute to the channel's vision and strategy, maintain awareness of marketplace and competitive trends, and recommend areas for improvement.

  • Conduct research and prospecting as needed to develop a pipeline that will yield profitable revenue in support of the Company's financial goals.

  • Experiment with innovative ways to drive our brand, scale our audience reach, and gain clients/customers.

  • Attend networking and industry events to promote Cinch Home Services.

  • Prospect and initiate new business sales while building business referral relationships.

  • 60-75% Travel - engaging with prospective partners and clients.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Other Requirements:

  • Ability to negotiate both contracts and business needs.

  • Ability to travel for prospect and client visits as needed and to work 'on the road' and from your home office.

  • Demonstrated success selling into the P&C industry with a focus on homeowners' insurance; sales of transformative services/products and/or consulting services is preferred as is selling focused on carrier distribution (vs. back-office solutions)

  • Broad knowledge of the Property and Casualty (personal lines/homeowners) insurance industry with a deep understanding of the industry landscape, business models, key strategies, decision criteria / KPIs, current market challenges, and drivers of the market change; a 360-degree view of the industry

  • Demonstrated experience creating and/or refining innovative business models to drive success in and around the insurance industry.

  • A broad, relevant industry network is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience of insurance industry experience

  • Super organized and multi-tasker.

  • Self-motivated and self-directed.

  • Intermediate level to advanced knowledge of insurance products, organizational structures, and motivating factors

  • Strong proficiency with web-based tools, technical skills, and proficiency in working with insurance software and Microsoft Office products.

  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
