Insurance Operations Specialist

We are seeking someone to work as our Insurance Operations Specialist in our Insurance Department. In this role there are regular daily, weekly, and monthly processes that involve a lot of reporting, but much of your day is responding to technical issues and carrier questions. It is beneficial to have some insurance knowledge and understand how an agency operates.

This position is In-Person

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as an Administrator for the agency management system and assist in troubleshooting issues.

• Act as an Administrator to carrier websites with ability to setup staff as users and assist with carrier appointments.

• Retrieve agency download daily and share with staff.

• Assist the Accounting Specialist on things such as reconciling the checking statement, enter account payable items, and helping with other accounting functions when the need arises.

• Assist in training new hires, and ongoing training regarding the management system and other associated applications.

• Research, compile and prepare reports, manuals, correspondence, or other information required by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and three to five years of related experience in an insurance agency setting or customer service; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Basic IT experience is preferred.

• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Suite, mainly Excel and Teams is preferred.
