Insurance Navigation Specialist

Hillcrest Health Services is currently seeking an Insurance Navigation Specialist at Hillcrest Millard in Omaha, NE.

The Insurance Navigation Specialist is responsible for direct workflow support for service line navigators in receiving, reviewing, approving and coordinating acute referrals to Skilled Nursing Rehab.

What are my responsibilities?

• Support and back-up for service line navigator responsibilities including but not limited to gather and processing all incoming referrals in accordance with the post-acute referral process.

• Conducts medical review for referrals based on established admission and financial criteria for service lines; demonstrates accuracy in decision-making resulting in appropriate placement for patients and positive customer experiences.

• Data entry into the EMR, CRM, insurance verification and insurance authorization platforms.

• Conducts the verification of all insurance coverage and authorizations accurately and timely for all customers referred to the service line.

• During weekend on-call and PTO coverage, processes all assigned referrals including screening, providing answers and completing all appropriate steps according to established protocols and workflows.

What do I need to be considered?

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• At least one year of experience in administrative business office functions required.

• Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Windows and MS Office required.

• Experience in health care services including acute and post-acute services preferred.

• Experience with handling admissions for acute or post-acute rehab and long-term care preferred.
