The Insurance Manager is a key member of the Safety & Risk Management team reporting directly to the VP, Safety & Risk Management. This position is responsible for managing the administration of all insurance and risk financing programs for Cambria Enterprises and its' subsidiaries. This role will deliver general risk, insurance contracting and compliance support to subsidiaries and business operations in the U.S. and foreign locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with VP to develop risk strategy for the placement of the insurance programs in the areas of General Liability, Excess/Umbrella, Property/Inland Marine, Auto, Worker's Compensation, Fiduciary, Crime, Marine Cargo, Cyber, Aviation and specialty placements, as needed

  • Work with operations & safety teams, brokers, carriers and other service providers to design and implement policies and programs that appropriately control, mitigate, reduce and transfer risks

  • Coordinate with insurance brokerage team to complete annual insurance renewal and drive practices that produce the best coverage and pricing

  • Oversee claims management for all business entities and lines of insurance. Supporting Cambria in claim avoidance strategies and claim processing/closure. Continuously communicating with outside counsel and other leaders on claims development to guarantee proper valuation and reserves

  • Periodic reporting to management on status, improvements and suitability of Company's insurance program

  • Maintain all insurance policies and endorsements and obtain specialty coverage quotes as required

  • Prepare and conduct risk management training as needed for operations and support functions

  • Aide safety teams in development of appropriate risk mitigation plans for project/subcontractor specific risks

  • Oversee and manage insurance program audits

  • Develop costing models for billing rates and allocations

  • Contract and Compliance review of contracts, insurance certificates and other insurance inquiries

  • Evaluate risk management tools and technology, make recommendations to leadership that enhance the business

  • Coordinate with safety resources to drive a culture of safety within the businesses

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years as an Insurance Manager with proven experience assessing risk, mitigating risk, contract review, insurance placement and management, and claims management

  • Knowledge of risk management principles and practices

  • Understanding of property, liability, auto, workers compensation, and bond coverage and/or programs

  • Must be able to work independently, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, have attention to detail, motivate others, drive purposeful change, and build effective relationships

  • Strong written, verbal, organizational and analytical skills

  • Ability to assess and analyze data for the purposes of making financing and risk control recommendations to project management and driving prompt resolution of issues

Education:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, finance or insurance degree a plus

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work

  • Light to moderate lifting is required

VIEW JOBS 3/2/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-31T00:00 The Distribution Center ("DC") Safety Manager will be responsible for partnering with the DC operations team in multiple locations (17) to execute company safety policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local and regional regulations. By leveraging Core Safety Rules, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our Employees. A successful DC Safety Manager will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the DC Operations Team and inspire change by providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis. The DC Safety Manager must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. You will coordinate with other Safety Managers on the Cambria safety policies and assist the DC operations teams in incorporating our safety standards at the DCs. You will work to identify best practices, assimilate Cambria best practices and incorporate these standard methodologies into the DC standards to continuously improve the safety landscape. The DC Safety Manager will possess excellent safety program knowledge as well as environmental and ergonomic knowledge and be able demonstrate this expertise when working with DC Operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional regulations and company policy. * Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Cambria Safety Policies. * Measure DCs' performance against published requirements in safety policies. For all deficiencies, identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies. * Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations. * Analyze safety metrics and review incident weekly and monthly incident trends to discover trends to rationalize the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest. * Perform frequent safety audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site. Implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury at other DCs. * Audit record-keeping practices and Global Safety Database (Safety Report) entries to be aligned with global safety standards and local regulations. * Audit the workplace organization and Employee behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent. * Spend time at the distribution centers and seek input from Cambria Safety team members, Employees and DC leaders on safety program improvement opportunities. Ensure open communication on status of progress and resolution against these suggestions. * Ensure DC leadership and Employees are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy. Audit the quality, delivery (including qualifications of the trainer), and effectiveness of all required safety training. * Distribution Center or Manufacturing Safety experience with mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 25 people preferred. * Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies. * Demonstrated success in managing multiple sites/remotely. * Experience in a fast paced, changing/growing organization * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with operations. * Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability. * Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy * Proficient in Google suite of products and the use of pivot tables and the development of charts and graphics.
