The Licensing Specialist is responsible for processing all forms & documents, as well as, following all procedures relating to the Insurance, Membership, Licensing and Insurance Carrier Appointments for Associates to ensure compliance with State Insurance Department regulations within our territory. This individual is vital to the internal operations of our insurance department.

The primary duties of the Licensing Specialist are:
Processes new licensing applications, Carrier Appointments and terminations in multiple states for all Agents, Management and Agencies, inputting and updating data in Department & third party Systems while and reviewing and storing all supporting documentation per procedure.
Initiates and processes and communicates renewals of Property/Casualty (P&C), Motor Club (MC), Life/Health (L&H) licenses/appointments and processes terminations of licenses/appointments as needed, in compliance with multiple state insurance department regulations for Agency Associates.
Communicate requests and assignment of new agent credentials and connectivity with all Agency Carriers as appropriate and assures dissemination of that information with Agency Accounting, AAA Club Alliance Systems, and front-line management via system documentation procedures.
Maintenance of Associate Data in Department systems subject to both internal and external audits. Consult with Management regarding questionable situations that may require input from Operations Manager, Corporate Legal or Human Resources Departments.
Manages internal and external relationships including resolution to reported issues for insurance licensing, carrier appointments, Membership, and Department systems while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Maintain the ability to handle multiple activities, requiring the application of a substantial variety of policies and/or procedures to be used in combination.
Complete special projects within the Department.
Respond to inquiries from State(s) Department of Insurance, Carriers, Management and internal associates.
Perform new agent audits to verify completeness of documents, appointments, appointment terminations for the purpose of validating data maintained in the Agency systems
Minimum Qualification:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in an insurance or business environment preferred
Property/Casualty license preferred
Experience with Applied Epic Agency Management System preferred
Experience with Licensing Platforms such as AgentSnyc, Sircon by Vertafore preferred
Experience with Salesforce platform preferred
