About this Role:
The Agency Learning and Development Training Specialist is responsible for delivering curriculum across various milestones of the agency journey. From onboarding to ongoing development, they will create and deliver high-impact, multi-modal training that aligns with Brightway's vision to help agencies rapidly grow expertise and outperform competitors in the industry.
As an Agency Learning and Development Training Specialist, you will apply innovative instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create and deliver training that increases student performance and shortens learning curves. In this role you will regularly assess student needs, design engaging content in various modalities, facilitate live and virtual sessions, and implement improvements based on feedback. Success in this role requires consistently delivering relevant, results-oriented training that increases franchisee performance and engagement.
Job Responsibilities
Design and deliver blended learning experiences including virtual instructor-led training (VILT), in-person workshops, eLearning, videos, and performance support resource
Develop goal-driven content following the ADDIE and other instructional design models
Partner with the L&D team to manage the content development roadmap and production schedule
Utilize the LMS and other technologies to deliver interactive, multi-modal learning
Demonstrate proficiency across our curriculum offerings
Create training in formats including videos, job aids, leader guides, webinars, articles, etc.
Facilitate engaging virtual and in-person sessions on topics such as insurance sales, systems, leadership, customer experience, agency operations, and more
Achieve a 4.75+ CSAT rating or equivalent from training sessions
Conduct research with subject matter experts to produce specialized training as neede
Present at industry events such as conference sessions and panels on occasion
Coach and mentor agency staff participating in Brightway's mentoring programs
Promote peer learning by facilitating discussions on franchisee forums
Collaborate with leadership to ensure training aligns with Brightway's strategic priorities
Utilize training data, surveys and KPIs to measure impact and continuously improve offerings
Partner with key stakeholders in other departments to achieve shared goals
Remote position with periodic travel required to home office for company training events such as conferences, training bootcamps, and agency round tables.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required, 5+ years of Property and Casualty insurance experience (Personal and Commercial Lines- sales experience preferred)
Skills, Licenses, Certifications
Beginner level instructional design experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
Exceptional facilitation skills in classroom and virtual settings
Passion for helping others succeed and dedication to lifelong learning
