We're excited to continue solidifying that foundation as we are looking for an Insurance Intern to join our growing team in Fort Myers, Florida.

Reporting to a supervisor or manager, the primary responsibility of an Insurance Intern involves data entry, general clerical duties, including receptionist operations, assistance to managers or accountants. Employee is supervised closely and generally performs routine tasks of a clerical or administrative nature.

General Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine clerical tasks including typing, data entry, filing, and operating office machines.

  • Answer phones, routes callers, and takes and delivers messages.

  • Maintains files, records, or reports

  • Marketing research

  • Assisting and shadowing our production brokers, underwriters, and account executives

  • Special projects - prior interns have used their initiative and business acumen to assist in creating quote proposals, designing marketing materials, spreadsheet analysis, follow-up sales calls, PowerPoint presentations, walking through the full sales cycle with a current customer including in-person presentation.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum one-year job experience

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Advanced knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Database software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of industry sales/marketing methods preferred.

  • One (1) or more professional insurance designations.

  • Advanced college degree is desirable.
