Minimum 2 years' experience in a call center environment required. Experience in health/human services and knowledge of Medicaid preferred. Provide excellent customer service primarily by telephone to Arkansas Medicaid providers. Assist customers with coverage/claims related questions. Accurately interpret benefits and policy provisions for beneficiaries for the providers. Conduct appropriate research and follow-up for prompt resolution of disputed claims.

Essential Functions:

Work efficiently in a high volume call center while maintaining a professional, polite manner. Assist callers with coverage related questions; accurately interpret policy Analyze customer's inquiries and determine steps for resolution, interpret benefit information, and claims processing accuracy. Keep resource information up to date and organized. Document calls in a clear and consistent manner in computer system. Conduct appropriate research and follow-up for prompt resolution of disputed claims. Relay information to appropriate departments and personnel using established communication channels and procedures. Must be able to type and talk at the same time and navigate through multiple screens Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a metric driven work environment

  • Experience using an auto answer system

  • Experience working in the Healthcare Industry

  • Experience working with Medicaid or Medicare

  • Experience meeting specific service level agreements (SLA's)

  • Completes tasks beyond general support level.

  • Accepts instruction and direction from leadership. Ability to manage tasks and assignments without detailed direction.

  • Identifies, prioritizes and resolves some issues independently, and escalates more complex questions or issues appropriately.

  • Complies with contract requirements, business unit rules and related and legal regulations

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; may hold 2 year post-high school Degree; may hold Bachelor's degree.

  • Typically, 1-2 years of working experience in related fields.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Prior office or clerical experience.

  • Ability to follow written policies and procedures.

  • Ability to access and retrieve information using a PC and basic understanding of Microsoft Office products.

  • Ability to follow procedural guidelines.'

  • Ability to work on assignments with limited instructions from leadership.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone skills.

S/He utilizes their technical background to deliver on abstract data analysis and graphic creation for review by executives, providers, and researchers in healthcare. The ideal candidate needs to be comfortable working independently with as needed oversight using a defined set of tools for manipulating data (e.g. PyTorch, R, etc). This is a provisional position funded by an external grant or contract. Continued employment in this position is reliant upon grant (or contract) funding continuation. Responsibilities * Accesses databases routinely for the Institute of Digital Health (IDH) on a per project basis and delivers complete data sets based on a defined requisition of data elements. * Performs literature searches to guide best practice for data analysis and visualization. * Sets-up and configures systems for test and validation of proposed solutions prior to implement in production. * Acts as a coordinator, facilitator or liaison to committees, teams and outside organizations, as assigned. * Leads the analysis and implementation of data sourcing and transforms and load into the data warehouse for IDH. * Interfaces with users to assess their technical and data needs and propose best practices. * Participates in report writing and various technical aspects of report development. * Uses Scrum or Agile methodology for project management. * Attends meetings for the IDH Analytics division weekly. * May perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any branch), Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or related [New graduates acceptable] * Experience with a high-level and statistical scripting languages (C++/Java, Python, Perl, R, SPSS/SAS, or similar) Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any branch), Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or related * Professional or equivalent experience preferred in complex problem analysis including client engagement, solution development, rapid prototyping, and product delivery. * Python Certified Entry-level Programmer * Mobile software development experience (Swift, Qt, or similar), Web development experience (Ruby or similar), and/or Low-level language experience (C or assembly) Competencies: * Requires strong technical knowledge and creativity * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) * Ability to collaborate with other levels of staff and ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Experience in the analysis and integration of data sources * Knowledge of a machine learning software package This position is subject to a pre-employment criminal background check.
