Insurance Defense Paralegal

Job Description Job Description We are currently looking to hire an experienced paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the area of insurance defense.

Responsibilities: • prepare discovery demands and responses. • prepare and assemble motions. • knowledge of court rules, conferences, motion practice, filing of papers, etc. • knowledge of NYSCEF and e-filing rules. • monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. • conduct research to support legal proceedings. • investigate facts to help in negotiations. • articulate and able to speak with clients, insurance professionals and vendors. • write and prepare routine correspondence (i.e., letters about IME’s, authorizations, deposition witnesses, requesting documents, etc.). • diligent and able to manage multiple clients’ and attorneys’ diaries. • knowledge of document management systems for searching for and properly naming and saving various documents • knowledge of general billing practices; and • be a team player. Annual and quarterly bonuses available based upon production.
