THIS IS A WONDERFUL WORK FROM HOME (WFH) OPPORTUNITY!

As a Insurance Collector, you will work directly with our Shared Service Center to preform account follow-up of insurance and patient receivables

What you will do in this role:

  • Work insurance pools and contact insurance companies to resolve claims that are not paid in a timely manner

  • Review EOB's, remits and payer correspondence in the course of performing account follow-up and escalate any identified issues to the appropriate area for review and response to expedite claim resolution.

  • Identify problem accounts and escalate as appropriate

  • Document in the patient account record to identify actions taken on the account

  • Work with patients and guarantors to resolve payer requests and discrepancies to promptly resolve pending claims

EDUCATION

  • High school education or GED required

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2-3 years related experience required, preferably in a hospital environment.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years in Insurance Follow Up experience with healthcare insurance companies.

  • Ability to understand and explain EOBs and/or UBs.

  • High volume, call center background HIGHLY preferred.

  • Must include resume with online application submission.

As a Collections Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Director in daily operations of the Collections functions. The Manager is responsible for guiding the staff in their day to day responsibilities which includes mentoring and training them as needed. What you will do in this role: * Identify staffing needs and communicate those needs to the Collections Director * Screen, interview, and hire new employees * Arrange for the training of new employees * Review and monitor collection reporting (e.g. EDW Trended Aging Report) * Monitor pool inventories to ensure accounts are being worked and resolved timely. * Review and take action on high dollar accounts as directed. * Assure productivity of each staff member * Review each staff member's productivity and QA on a monthly basis and perform annual evaluations * Counsel staff with disciplinary, productivity and/or QA issues * Work as a liaison between the Collections staff and other SSC staff * Resolve issues escalated by patients, Collections staff and other departments. EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required. Equivalent work experience may substitute education requirements EXPERIENCE Minimum three years' experience in related area with two of these years being healthcare management experience OR completion of the Parallon Manager Trainee Program.
