Research and resolve insurance billing issues at the time of claims submission, receipt of denial or non contracted payment, and refund requests. Expected to interact daily with all stakeholders including but not limited to insurance companies, clinic and hospital personnel, and patients.

Maintain knowledge of insurance(s) guidelines, policies, and procedures related to payment of claims. Will be expected to communicate this information to various areas of the organization on a requested basis. The majority of work time (up to 80%) is spent sitting with intermittent standing and walking of short distances. Work is performed in a standard office environment.



Excellent communication skills, analytical skills and the ability to operate standard office equipment. Is expected to learn disparate medical, billing, and insurance software systems to facilitate the collection of information to resolve billing issues.

Completion of high school studies is required. Broad knowledge of medical terminology, medical collections, and ICD-9 and CPT coding is preferred but not required.

This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties including answering a multiple line telephone handling routine inquiries or requests directing calls or taking messages. <br><br> Position will also involve communication coordination and interaction with varied Tyson facilities attorneys doctors and other medical providers on issues relating to workers compensation. Insuring all information regarding each case is filed correctly in the workers compensation file mail distribution; typing and entering data. Candidate must be able to handle confidential information in a professional manner.</p><p>REQIREMENTS:</p><p>Education: High School diploma or equivalent.</p><p>Experience: 2 plus years general office experience.</p><p>Computer Skills: Requires standard computer skills.</p><p>Communication Skills: Must have good verbal and written communication skills.</p><p>Special Skills: Attention to detail and self-motivated.</p><p>Supervisory: None.</p><p>Travel: None</p><p>PLEASE NOTE</p><p>Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by their 45th day of employment.
