Insurance Brokerage Chief Operations Officer

Our client, a prominent Regional Independent Brokerage with 6 offices and generating $40 million in revenue, is actively seeking a dynamic Chief Operations Officer (COO) for their Long Island, NY headquarters.

Company Overview:

• A fully independent Insurance Brokerage renowned for crafting comprehensive protection strategies tailored to diverse client needs.

• Specializes in delivering sophisticated estate and business solutions, employee benefits programs, and robust Property & Casualty platforms.

• With over two decades of industry presence, the company operates across 6 offices spanning New York, Florida, and Texas.

• Boasting a dedicated team of 150+ professionals and representing over 200 carrier appointments.

Responsibilities:

• Oversight of Property & Casualty Operations.

• Ownership of Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for 6 offices

• Direct supervision of P&C service, placement, operations, finance, carrier relations, and facilities.

• Spearheading recruitment efforts, fostering a culture of training, and providing mentorship to staff members.

• Integral member of the Executive team, contributing to strategic decision-making.

• Collaborating cross-functionally with sales, IT, and other departments to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience within the insurance agency domain, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.

• Proven expertise in managing Property & Casualty operations.

• Experience in Employee Benefits (EB) considered a valuable asset.

• A Bachelor's degree is required, with advanced degrees and insurance designations being advantageous.
