This is a technical position in analysis, trouble-shooting and skilled work in the area of complex controls, instrumentation, telemetry, with variable speed and frequency drives. Works under general direction.
Essential Job Duties
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Installation, repair and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment.
High voltage work in motor control centers, and trouble-shooting electrical problems.
Maintain all electrical equipment, motors, generators, calibrates flow meters and mechanical instrumentation and works on telemetry systems.
Perform Lan Administration functions.
Familiarity with volt meters, meggers, amp probes and oscilloscopes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Good mechanical aptitude and computer skills. Ability to assume a great deal of responsibility and good judgment in safety awareness. Ability to work in confined areas.
A.S. Degree in Electronic Technology.
Minimum of four years experience in the electrical trade and four years in controls and instrumentation.
Computer knowledge in software applications.
Must possess a valid Florida Journeyman's Electrician License.
