An Instrumentation & Electrical Technician job in Fayetteville, North Carolina is currently available through Belcan. To be considered for this role you must be a licensed electrician in the state of North Carolina and have a minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in instrumentation / electrical field or an Associates Degree in I & E Technology or experience in maintaining and troubleshooting low and medium voltage switch-gear systems, including experience in preventive maintenance of breakers, relays, and transformers. You will also be self-motivated, flexible, with the ability to work under pressure within short time constraints.


Instrumentation & Electrical Technician Job Duties and

Responsibilities:

Investigate problems with instruments and sensors including flow meters, variable speed drives, temperature sensors, pressure and level transmitters, air quality sensors, communication devices and interfaces

Repair and maintain electrical and instrument equipment using hand tools, power tools, & precision measuring and testing instruments and engages in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machines, equipment, and instruments.

Inspect and test operations of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments.

Capable of working with DCS, programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controls (PLC), control software and human-machine interface systems would be an asset.

Perform all work in accordance with established safety rules and procedures.

Instrumentation & Electrical Technician Job Requirements and Preferences:

High School Diploma/GED

Must be a licensed electrician in the state of North Carolina

Must have one of the below:

  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in instrumentation / electrical field

  • Associates Degree in I & E Technology

  • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting low and medium voltage switch-gear systems, including experience in preventive maintenance of breakers, relays, and transformers.

Must be able to read and interpret electrical drawings and instrument loop diagrams

Possess good troubleshooting/problem solving skills, good interpersonal skills in communication, listening, and good safety practices with good computer skills.
