  • This person is a senior technical expert for instrumentation & controls/SCADA design and implementation projects.

  • Conducts preliminary process evaluations, develops SCADA architecture concepts, prepares specifications, reports and I & C designs for industrial systems.

  • Communicates directly with client project personnel.

  • Supports project resources to achieve project objectives.

  • Interfaces with project, construction and client managers, process, civil, mechanical and electrical design engineers.

  • Understand and implement I&C/SCADA communications systems such as Ethernet based local area networks and wireless radio systems

  • Performs PLC programming and/or HMI programming.

  • Perform system startup and commission

  • Perform client training

Required Experience

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (related field).

  • Must have Pennsylvania and/or Ohio PE license

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in the industrial field.

  • Experience with engineering, design and programming SCADA systems.

  • Experience with design build projects.

  • 2-3 years of management experience preferred .

  • Self-motivated and managed, detailed and process-oriented individual with strong technical skills and good interpersonal team skills.

  • Experience managing projects including schedule, scope, technical, quality and financial success

  • Solid communicator, able to communicate and work directly with end users of the client to complete design and/or implementation.

  • Knowledgeable of industry standard PLC and HMI system implementation and programming.

  • Experienced in CAD, latest version.

  • Able to complete work consistently, with the flexibility to accommodate varying demands put on them by project managers, owners, vendors and contractors.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.

To be considered for this role, you must have at least three (3) years of Industrial Plant electrical troubleshooting (Instrument and Control), maintenance, and have technical supervisory and/or project management experience. In addition, you will have experience with commercial and/or industrial heating, cooling, pumping, and need to pass a background check, drug test, and physical. In this role, you will calibrate, organize, prioritize, and perform work relative to: electrical circuits/systems (both high and low voltage), pneumatic, metering, and fittings. You will also install, program, and troubleshoot instrumentation/control components. This is a very visible, contract to hire opportunity with an established energy company and has excellent for upward mobility. Job Duties: Responsible for plant-associated ancillary equipment the facility with electrical troubleshooting/maintenance, calibration and inspection duties Inspects, designs, retrofits, and tests I & C systems within the plant and at customer locations Installs thermal utility revenue and metering at plant and customer locations Produces, maintains, and manages all electrical maintenance and repair records in accordance with federal, state, local, environmental, corporate and insurance requirements Maintains a working knowledge of the following disciplines: electrical code, pipe/tube fitting, job documentation, instrumentation, meter calibration, shipping/receiving, quotation/purchasing, customer relations, and safety/training Supports Operations, Maintenance, and Distribution departments as required Qualifications: * Minimum 3 years industrial plant electrical troubleshooting and maintenance with equivalent technical supervisory and project management experience. * Experience with commercial and/or industrial heating, cooling, pumping and District Energy systems preferred * Certifications: Electrical Contractor license, Stationary Engineer, Universal Refrigeration licenses, or pathway to attain * Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to lead and direct maintenance staff * Good working knowledge of MS Office, (Excel, Word and Outlook).
