Job Title: Instrumentation and Electrical Multicraft Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Span of Control: No direct reports
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To implement and coordinate maintenance best practices as it pertains to Predictive Maintenance. Expert level knowledge on analyzing the vibration of all equipment throughout the plant. Identifies potential failure points with assets before failure occurs utilizing a variety of predictive maintenance technologies for vibration, ultrasound, lubrication, thermography and other developing technologies. Reports and communicates various testing results to develop plans that prevent equipment failure.

Plant Environment: The OC Aiken facility is not climate controlled. With industrial ovens as part of our process, the manufacturing floor temperature is susceptible to the heat or cold of the outdoors. The facility is also unionized.
Shift Schedule: 12 hour shifts, three or four scheduled shifts a week, rotating between day shift (8a-8p) and night shift (8p-8a) every two weeks
Starting Pay: $37.98/hour paid weekly

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement and maintain new and advanced preventive and predictive maintenance programs, processes and tools.
Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance job procedures in SAP.
Analyze equipment performance using trending software and other system tools.
Complete RCA for all unplanned downtimes exceeding 4 hours or when directed by maintenance leadership.
Lead the decision-making process for part replacement and/or repair based on data gathered through vibration, thermography, and previous failures.
Communicate technical topics effectively to non-technical personnel.
Provide technical training to plant maintenance personnel.
Work with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production to provide equipment status updates and assist with problem resolution.
Interface with vendors in the resolution of issues or the implementation of new solutions.
Lead the line reliability effort and champion root cause failure analysis to identify areas of excessive failure risk and propose design opportunities.
Maintain subject matter expertise through continued education and advanced technical training.
Provide immediate preventive and reactive maintenance response to production and facility equipment issues.
Perform weekly data collection on all plant rotating equipment.
Perform (frequency TBD) on all critical equipment based on criticality list.
Review/perform analysis on all collected data.
Provide weekly vibration reports to plant leadership and maintenance.
Organize reports based off potential failure criticality (Red- Repair/Replace Immediately; Orange- Repair/Replace within 1 month; Yellow- Continue to Monitor/Repair within 3 months).
Enter work orders based off findings/criticality.
Perform follow up data collection on any repaired/replaced equipment.
Maintain vibration software/hardware.
Ensure all computer software is up to date and functioning properly.
Ensure data collection hardware is up to date and functioning properly.
Install accelerometer pads on equipment for horizontal, vertical, and axial measurement points.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent;
Level I Certified Vibration Analyst or Level I Certified Thermography Analyst
Ten years maintenance industrial experience in both electrical and mechanical
At least 5 years experience working with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs and controls systems, including troubleshooting, programming, installing components of said systems, and/or experience with said system upgrades.

Associate Technical Degree
Level II - IV Certification in Vibration and/or Thermography
