Instrumentation And Controls Engineer

Piper Life Sciences is actively seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing organization in the Greater Raleigh, North Carolina area. The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer will be leading projects for controls design and equipment selection for an expanding facility. The ideal candidate will have experience with conrols design, electrical engineering, and project planning and implementation in an industrial engineering environment. This is a Monday-Friday, on-site position.

Responsibilities of the Instrumentation and Controls Engineer include:

• Evaluate controls and electrical system designs and installations, products, components, capabilities, etc.

• Interface with global sites to replicate logic, principals, and processes for an expanding facility.

• Execute controls design, configuration and startup of controls-related projects for the site.

• Perform validation, testing, and support responsibilities as necessary.

• Provide expert knowledge in equipment selection and controls process design

• Deliver high quality communication regarding projects and serve as the subject matter expert for controls systems in meetings and leadership calls

Qualifications for the Instrumentation and Controls Engineer include:

• 4+ years of experience in Controls in a manufacturing environment

• Automation/controls experience diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues

• Electrical design experience

• Ability to work on-site

• B.S. in an Engineering discipline, or equivelant experience

Compensation for the Instrumentation and Controls Engineer:

• Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 base
