Routine Centered Maintenance (RCM) is interested in personnel that can assist with updating the GSAP

Asset Register ahead of the RCM Studies. Ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Using P&IDs and multiple databases (GSAP and SPI) to determine an accurate Asset List for the site.

  • Conduct field walks to confirm questionable items from #1 above.

  • Analyze GSAP database hierarchies and recommend revisions where necessary (based on site standards).

  • RCM would then work with the respective units and disciplines to have the GSAP Asset Register updated per this feedback.

  • Additional duties may include assistance with preparing data/documents for RCM Studies.

Skills required for this role:

  • Ability to field walk down a P&ID for all discipline types (mechanical, static, electrical, instrument).

  • Ability to perform an instrument and electrical review to ensure the right equipment is included in GSAP Asset Register.

  • Ability to trace process lines in the field.

  • Ability to read and interpret a P&ID.

  • Ability to input data into Excel or other software that gives the output listed above.

  • Ability to research equipment in GSAP Asset Register for functional location, object type, equipment number, etc.

  • Ability to safely work independently once given a high level overview of the unit/production area by operations.

  • Must have critical thinking/problem solving skills and enjoy working with large amounts of detailed data.

  • Ability to work virtually with team members overseas.

  • TWIC or ability to obtain

VIEW JOBS 11/1/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-30T00:00 The Instrumentation and Electrical Technician II applies basic and some advanced skills to perform routine and more complex operations using tools and equipment appropriate for the position. Applies a general understanding of the technical concepts, practices and procedures, and a general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations related to the maintenance and installation of telecommunications, electrical and electronic equipment at all pipeline, terminal and truck facilities on the pipeline system. * Plans and accomplishes a complete range of operational assignments and tasks that are generally routine to moderately complex related to installation, integration, maintenance and repair of the instrumentation, electrical, electronic systems and equipment that control pipeline operations. * Applies a general knowledge of instrumentation and control devices and equipment to perform installation maintenance and repair and of electronic field communications equipment. Ensures this equipment integrates into the main Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for control of pipeline operations. * Performs programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) field units utilized in pipeline and terminal operations. Performs installation, set up and troubleshooting of Stratos satellite communication equipment. * Troubleshoots station controls, PLC, tank gauge transmitters, measurement devices, tank gauging equipment, valve operators, transmitters, and instrumentation apparatus and many other instrumentation devices utilized on pipeline system. Ensures work complies with electrical codes, safety rules, and Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) regulations and requirements. * Works closely with the pipeline maintenance, operations and engineering groups during capital projects and new construction. Performs cost estimates and orders materials for new construction or capital projects. Oversees the work of third-party contractors on capital projects or new construction. * Manages a spare parts and materials inventory in an economical and prudent manner. * May participate in internal/external compliance audits and inspections. * Overtime is a requirement of the job. * Frequent travel up to 50 percent. Valid driver's license required to operate company-owned or leased vehicle. * Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment. * High school diploma or G.E.D. and a degree or certificate of completion from a two-year college or technical school in basic instrumentation, electrical and/or electronics technology, and four (4) plus years of Commercial Industrial Electrical experience Required and four (5) years of PLC experienced preferred. LEVEL OF MANAGEMENT OVERSIGHT AND CONTROL Internal - Works with regular supervision. Follows standard written or oral instructions. May need additional assistance for more complex tasks. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is normally performed outside where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes and gases is common. Noise level is moderate to loud and includes sounds of construction, equipment operations, trucks and like equipment. Job hazards include working in normal, light and heavy construction activities and working around pressured petroleum products, electricity, noise, vibration, mechanical and burn hazards under all weather conditions. Overtime is a requirement of the job. Random drug and alcohol testing is required to comply with Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) regulations. Frequent travel (up to 50%) required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate tools and equipment required for the job.
