Your Impact at SAM

  • The instrument operator uses a variety of surveying instruments to support a survey crew in their daily operations

  • Assists in the completion of field surveys under the supervision of a Crew Chief

  • Responsible for the operation, checking and basic field adjustments of survey equipment. E.g. tripods, tribrachs, levels, total stations, GNSS receivers, data radios/modems

  • Utilize survey controllers and software to collect geospatial data and perform survey computations

  • Read and interpret various types of maps and plans

  • Complete neat and orderly field notes for survey operations with supervision from Crew Chief

  • Keeps Crew Chief informed of problems and progress

  • Load and unload trucks with equipment and supplies

  • Clean and maintain survey equipment, tools and vehicle

  • Follow company safety procedures for survey operations

What You Bring to SAM

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Possession of a valid, current driver's license

  • One year industry experience

  • Knowledgeable in the principles and performance of basic types of surveys, survey computations, and field operations

  • Ability to work continually outside in all types of weather conditions and terrain

  • Ability to work out of town, in remote locations, for extended periods of time

In support of continued strong growth, our Company seeks to enhance its core team with the appointment of an experienced and motivated Press Brake Operator. Summary/Objective Bend and produce parts from sheet metal using a press brake, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Sets up and operates equipment to bend parts of sheet metal according to blueprints or product specifications. * Reads prints, work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as quantity, dimensions and/or tolerances. * Performs periodic checks on output; measures completed parts to verify conformance to specifications. * Uses measuring instruments at 100% accuracy. * Maintains high level of productivity and produces quality parts. * Identifies equipment, production and/or parts issues; troubleshoots issues with management and appropriate personnel. * Performs preventative maintenance tasks to maintain equipment performance and prevent machine downtime.
