Turner Industries Group is looking for Instrument Fitters for maintenance work in the Beaumont, TX area. Instrument Fitters will be responsible for planning layout, fabricatation, assembly, installation and repair of instruments, both electronic and pneumatic, including primary piping and tubing.

Per diem and relocation is not available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in/near the area.
Selects type and size of pipe and related material according to job specification; installs new, modifies or repairs existing installations; measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs primary piping and tubing; installs tubing, multitude bundles, junction boxes, instruments, both electronic and pneumatic, air piping and tubing; connects all piping and tubing to equipment; leak tests all piping and tubing installed; observes all installed instrument and systems to determine hazards, need for adjustment , relocation or replacement; may repair faulty equipment or systems; minimizes waste of material and avoids unsightly, hazardous or unreliable installations.
Employee may be required to provide the following: tool box, tube cutters, hacksaw frame, channel locks, vise grips, center punch, screw driver, combination square, tape, adjustable wrench, allen wrench set, combination wrenches, nut driver, folding rule, torpedo level, pipe wrenches, tubing benders, rain suit
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects; tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking;pushing; pulling; bending;kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawing or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.
