Full-time position in the School of Engineering to begin August 2024.
Teach courses in electrical systems, industrial networking, and other automation-related courses in the electromechanical engineering technology and manufacturing engineering technology programs. This individual will be expected to be involved in laboratory maintenance and development, develop and teach on-line courses while serving as a faculty advisor for the Applied Engineering Student Organization.
Other duties include developing professional industry partners for job and internship placement. Development and participation in student recruiting and retention activities will be required.
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electromechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field with the ability to earn a Master of Science in engineering or engineering technology within two (2) years is required.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications
A Master of Science or PhD is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with industry experience including programmable logic controllers, industrial networking, motor controls, electrical systems, and/or fluid power.
Note: If the successful candidate is bachelor's or master's prepared, the position will be filled as a non-tenure track, instructor. If a successful candidate holds a terminal degree, the position will be filled as a tenure-track, assistant professor.
