Teaching:

Qualifications
Required:
Masters degree from a regionally accredited university in a relevant field
Effective written communication skills appropriate to the position.
Preferred:
Terminal degree from a regionally accredited university in a relevant field
One year of relevant teaching experience at the college level (graduate TA experience acceptable)
Experience teaching a variety of upper and lower division courses such as those offered by the UMD
Effective teaching and communication skills appropriate to the position
Experience in using technology for teaching.
Demonstrated experience with assessment
Evidence of the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
About the Department
The Department of Applied Human Sciences (AHS) is one of five departments within the College of Education and Human Service Professions. AHS is the department home to nearly 40 full-time and part-time faculty members with teaching and research interests in multiple degree programs: Childhood Nature Studies, Environmental and Outdoor Education, Exercise & Rehabilitation Sciences, Health and Physical Education, Physical Education Teacher Education, and Public Health.
