Position Description
The Department of World Languages & Culture at Spelman College is seeking a part-time, non-tenure-track instructor or lecturer of French for Spring 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 1 to 3 French language classes at different levels, grading students' work, and offering regular office hours for academic advisement.
In addition, successful candidates will be expected to work with other faculty members in support of Spelman College's goal to achieve excellence in teaching and to encourage student success. Experience with the effective use of technology in language pedagogy is preferred.
Qualifications
Ph.D, ABD or M.A. in French required; Degree from an accredited institution at the time of application. Candidates must have a native or near-native level of French; experience teaching diverse levels of French language courses at the college/university level. Commitment to teaching and engagement with students.
