Instructor - Practical Nursing

This posting is for a full-time, 9-month, unclassified, faculty position. (Multiple Vacancies)

Anticipated start date is August 12, 2024.

bpcc.edu Education Requirement:

Associate degree in Nursing. Bachelor's degree preferred. Current and valid license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Louisiana.

Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience, at least one (1) year as medical-surgical hospital staff nurse providing direct patient care. Must have practiced as a nurse for a minimum of six (6) full-time months during the three (3) years immediately preceding appointment.

Skills:

Competence in the use of computer technology to deliver instruction. Effective skills in writing, speaking, listening and time management. Commitment to work, self-motivation, professionalism and team relations.Instructor duties to include, but not limited to:

• Instruction of students in Practical Nursing

• Contributions to the continued development of the curriculum

• Participation in professional growth and community service.

• Maintenance of conference and academic advising hours.

• Participation in committees as assigned.
