The University of South Dakota's Beacom School of Business seeks applications for an Instructor of Management or Assistant Professor of Practice in Management beginning in the 2024-25 academic year. The Management faculty offer courses as part of the core for all undergraduate and graduate business majors as well as an undergraduate major in management.

The successful candidate is expected to teach the introductory business course. A secondary interest in human resource management and/or organizational behavior is desired.

The successful candidate is expected to bring a unique and innovative educational experience to students through classroom teaching and mentorship. As such, there is the opportunity for student engagement through mentoring student activities outside the classroom. The successful candidate will be expected to teach classes on the main campus in Vermillion, SD, online, and in Sioux Falls, SD. Duties include an annual teaching load of eight courses.

An MBA or Master's degree in a related field from an accredited business school. Other requirements are proficiency in oral and written communication, and enthusiasm for engagement, service, and the public good. Assistant Professor of Practice applicants must show related professional experience.

Candidates with an MBA from an AACSB-International accredited business school are preferred. Related professional experience in management is preferred. Successful teaching experience is preferred.
