Instructor of English (Non tenure-track)

The University of South Carolina, Aiken, a senior institution in the University of South Carolina system, seeks candidates for Instructor of English, beginning August 16, 2019. Required: minimum earned M.A. in English/Composition & Rhetoric with primary expertise, teaching experience, and scholarly record in the teaching of writing.

Specialization open, but experienced teaching composition is required and additional experience teaching writing online strongly preferred. ESOL certification required by date of appointment. Teaching responsibilities will include a 4-course load per semester (including up to two online sections), combining first-year composition and Writing in the University. The Department of English offers the B.A. in English as well as minors in professional and creative writing; there are currently fourteen full-time faculty members.
