Course assignments will be made based on experience. You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success is your top priority. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills.You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College. SELECTION PROCESS: This is an open applicant pool. Applicants will be contacted based on the needs of the College. Preliminary screening will be made on the basis of completed application package submitted by candidate. Completed application package includes: A resume; A letter of interest; A copy of official transcripts; A one-page statement of your teaching philosophy; and A list of courses and the semesters you have taught.Please note: This is an on-campus position. You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment. All qualified candidates will remain in a talent pool for future consideration and need to be residents of Colorado by the first day of employment.SALARY: The pay range for Part-Time Instructors varies, depending on the type of course, the contact ratio and contact hours, as well as your level of education and years of teaching. BENEFITS: Part-Time Instructors will have their hours measured on an annual basis to determine eligibility to enroll in medical health insurance only for the following benefit period. Primary Duties
Responsible for nursing lab and clinical instruction in a variety of clinical settings including Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, OB/Pediatric Nursing, or Psychiatric/Mental health. Teach as assigned - clinical, lab, and theory

Maintain accurate performance and attendance records and submit required reports on or before the deadlines.Communicate with the course coordinator regularly.Maintain professional, ethical, and legal responsibilities, i.e., FERPA, copyrights, etc.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE:Lab and Clinical Instructors require a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with 4000 hours of Professional Nursing clinical experience within 5 years.Two years in clinical nursing.PREFERRED EDUCATION/TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE:Master's Degree in Nursing/Nursing Education from a regionally accredited college/university.5 years in clinical nursing.Welcoming. Part-Time InstructorsPart-Time Instructors are eligible for sick leave. You will earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked.
