Craven Community College is seeking to expand our pool of part-time faculty to teach classes in the Workforce Development Department. Openings for these positions may not exist at the present time; however, upon review of your qualifications, you may be contacted directly by the department on an as needed basis.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provides accessible, quality learning experiences within the classroom
Facilitates the learning process to help students refreshmathematical skills such as time management, abstract thinking, data analysis and middle school and high school math subject, including:Algebra 1, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry & Trigonometry,
Completes required course assessments and documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensure that the program is meeting the needs of business and industry standards for potential job placement.
The instructor accomplishes this by presenting discipline specific learning outcomes through pre and post testing lecture, demonstration, labs, projects, assignments, appropriate classroom management, and Test-Prep materials.
This position will be based on the Havelock, NC campus.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Preferred:
Master's degreefrom a regionally accredited college or university.
Certified Master Training Specialist (MTS) or DOD training equivalent.
Classroom instruction experience.
Experience with Program and Curriculum Development.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have a deep understanding of the following:
Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staff
Working knowledge of MS Office products
Ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom
