As a(n) Instructor
Attend all required training.
Facilitate workshops for job seekers.
Recruit and enroll participants using established processes and procedures.
Complete all required data entry.
Ensure that the materials needed for each training session is available and are high quality.
Work closely with Center staff to plan, promote and support the logistics of implementing the workshops.
Assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of the training programs and ensure that evaluations are completed and returned.
Facilitate training sessions using a variety of training styles and methods to flexibly meet a variety of learning styles and needs.
Follow established procedures for workshop sign-in, evaluation distribution and collection and participant follow-up.
Bachelor or Associate Degree in Education, Social Work, Communications or a related filed preferred.
Prefer 3-5 years progressively responsible work experience in education, training and development, or coaching.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in working in workforce development preferred.
Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Working knowledge of adult learning and motivational theories.
Knowledgeable about cognitive behavioral thinking.
Understands when and how to use audio visual training aides including power points, flip charts, white boards, computers and other tools as needed.
Solves problems and negotiates misunderstanding/disagreements with participants in a rational and non-defensive manner.
Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
Must have a valid Driver's License in good standing and valid automobile insurance.
