Teaching responsibilities may include: Any courses listed in our undergraduate academic course catalog commensurate with the applicant's expertise and background. The successful applicant will have the ability to teach at least four courses per Fall and Spring semester, and at least three course in the Summer. Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Teaching various aviation courses (12/12 course load over 12 months) at the undergraduate level. * Teaching various flight related courses (if qualified). * Serving on departmental, college and university committees, as assigned. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include retirement, health, disability and life insurance plans. Required Competencies: * Ability to teach and develop a broad array of aviation courses at the undergraduate level. * Utility to teach 12/12 course load over a 12 month period (equivalent to 4 course each Fall/Spring semester and 3 courses during Summer) Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Aviation or Related field. * FAA issued pilot certificate or 1 year of experience in aviation-related industry * Successful completion of criminal history background check In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identify and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Preferred Skills/Desirable Qualifications: * Master's Degree in Aviation or Related field. * FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate with Airplane Single Engine and Instrument Airplane Rating. * Prior college teaching experience under FAR Part 141. * Certified Flight Instructor Certificate with Multi-Engine.
