Description
The School of Allied Health Professions at LSU Health Shreveport is accepting applications for a Speech and Language Pathology Clinician. The clinician will complete patient care within the Allied Health Clinics.
This is a full-time (12-month) clinical track faculty position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: clinical evaluation and intervention of pediatric population with various communication, language, and behavioral disorders, multidisciplinary collaboration with BCBA to ensure gold standard interventions in children with ASD, evaluation and intervention of adult communication disorders as needed, clinical supervision of Speech-Language Pathology students, research, and service.
Expectations:
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team in the evaluation and treatment of the pediatric population with various communication, language, and behavioral disorders.
Engage in clinical teaching opportunities within the School of Allied Health to promote clinical reasoning for graduate students enrolled at the institution.
To provide evidence-based care to all patients and uphold ethical standards in patient care and billing procedures.
Continue seeking continuing education to facilitate improved patient outcomes and standard of care.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
A Master's degree from an accredited university in Speech and Language Pathology.
Licensed or Eligibility for Louisiana Licensure in Louisiana by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous clinical practice experience with pediatric population and team-based care delivery is highly valued.
Experience or interest in obtaining experience in feeding and swallowing therapy.
